VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd is a state owned and controlled non-profit limited liability company established by law and operating under the ownership steering of the Finnish Ministry of Employment and the Economy. VTT is an RTO whose activities are focused on three areas: Knowledge intensive products and services, Smart industry and energy systems, and Solutions for natural resources and environment. VTT is impact-driven and takes advantage from its wide multitechnological knowledge base to strengthen Finnish and European industrial competitiveness. VTT can combine different technologies, produce information, upgrade technology knowledge, and create business intelligence and value added for its stakeholders. Over the years, VTT has gained vast experience from participation and coordination of numerous European projects including R&D Framework Programme projects and other thematic frameworks and programmes. VTT is ranked among the leading European RTOs. VTT is a world leading R&D organization developing large area S2S and R2R solution based manufacturing processes for organic and hybrid large area electronic components, systems and applications including thin film organic and hybrid photovoltaics. Recently, methods and technologies enabling the integration of organic and large area and hybrid electronics with End-User products and to build demonstrators and product mock-ups in a form that facilitates industry to up-take the benefits of new technologies have been of special interest. VTT is managing PrintoCent (www.printocent.net) Industrial cluster with over 40 members for commercialisation printed intelligence and optical measurement technologies. PrintoCent has wide global reach with its international member companies and partners. The main focus of PrintoCent activities is to create novel components, products and solutions enabled by printed intelligence technologies. These experiences will help to rapid exploitation of PERTPV project’s results.
